In Romania for almost two weeks now and Cathy and I will stay here until the end of May...

Following Dave’s instructions does work on a practical level, but an even greater lesson is that an accomplished composer is the master, not the servant, of the techniques he uses.

Do I have my own career? Most definitely, but playing Dave’s music is an increasingly important part of it.
